The linear instrument in our laboratory is used for routine analyses with relatively low accuracy (~0.1%) for peptides up to about 3 kDa with accuracy decreasing above this range. The Elite XL routinely is accurate to less than 20 ppm for peptides up to 3-5 kDa. Accuracy for larger peptides (>10kDa) is less.
